In an age when many believe that Faith and Reason are on opposite sides of a spectrum, come explore the relationship between Faith and Reason. Learn the history and reason why Pope Saint John Paul II wrote this encyclical. 

Two classes delving in the History and Workings of this document followed by a guest speaker on the topic. Participants are encouraged to sign up for both sessions and speaker but not required to be at both. 

Luke: The Story of Salvation

Mondays: Sept 15th - Oct 27th (7 Sessions)

The Gospel of Luke takes you on a journey that begins with the foretelling of John the Baptist's birth and culminates in Jesus' ascension into heaven. On the road to Emmaus, a story unique to the Gospel of Luke, Jesus gave us the greatest Bible study of all time, laying out his fulfillment of the Old Testament.

In Luke: The Story of Salvation Fulfilled, you will witness key moments in salvation history including the Annunciation, the Nativity, his public ministry, and Jesus' suffering, death, and glorious Resurrection. There are parables found only in Luke, including the Prodigal Son, the Good Samaritan, and the rich man and Lazarus which will show you the mercy and compassion that Jesus has for each one of his children.

The Bible and the Church Fathers

Thursdays: Sept 10th - Dec 11th

Who were the early Church Fathers? Why are they important? How did they read and interpret the Bible? And how are they relevant to us today? 

The Bible and the Church Fathers will teach you everything you need to know about lives and times of the Early Church Fathers and how they read the Bible. You’ll learn powerful tools for reading Scripture like the Fathers and understand Scripture’s relationship to Tradition and to the sacraments.  

Foundations of Faith: A Journey Through the Catechism

Wednesdays: Sept 17th - Feb 25th (20 Sessions)

The Catechism of the Catholic Church is the definitive summary of our Catholic beliefs and practices.
