Youth Ministry Teams

This year, we will be adding an opportunity for parental involvement to our program with different teams within the umbrella of Youth Ministry. Please prayerfully consider where God is calling your heart to help with the program in the upcoming year. It is a beautiful testament to your teens when they see you offering your time and talents to the ministry that helps to bring them up spiritually. You can sign up for more than one team.

Core Team/Confirmation Core Team works directly with the teens in small groups. There is also an opportunity for you to share your testimony as well as MC for the night. There will be a retreat in late August to help train you in relational ministry, as well as a playlist of videos that will be part of your training.

Social Events Team will help build the community by helping to organize fun events where teens can encounter God through building community with their peers. This team will be responsible for planning and chaperoning youth group events such as Color Wars, Pool Party/cookouts, Sundaes on Sundays and many more. These events are through out the year.

Hospitality Team will help set up, serve food, and clean up at our youth events and Sunday Evenings. If you have a heart to serve, and a talent for cooking we want your help! We will be offering different food options on Sunday evenings such as tacos, breakfast for dinner, pulled pork, etc. The kitchen at Kaplan Parish Hall is available to use on Sundays, so a brief training session on how to use  the equipment might be required.

Prayer Team will establish a prayer network so that every one of our teens is being covered in prayer throughout the year. This ministry will gather intentions on Sunday nights and pray for the teens through out the week. Youth Ministry will attend one of the scheduled Holy Hours during the week to lay the intentions of the youth at the feet of Jesus.

Retreat Team will help run the various retreats/ trips we have through out the year. If you have a passion to minister, lead small groups, enjoy being around teens, and eating way too much junk food, this team is for you. We will meet to discuss and plan upcoming retreats and lock-ins for high school and middle school.

Music Team will consist of teens and adults with a passion to praise our Lord through song. We will need an adult to help lead this team and to meet before youth nights, retreats, and other events to bring praise and worship back to our youth events.
